The subscription rate is $35.00 for one year and $60.00 for two years. Scouts will receive $3.00 for each one-year subscription and $5.00 for each two-year subscription in their scout accounts. All money collected should be handled and turned in by the scout.

Newer scouts who have not done flags yet will be teamed with scouts who have experience as it can be a challenge sometimes finding the post hole.

Scouts earn 50 cents for every flag they deploy and 50 cents for every flag they retrieve OR $1.00 for each flag if they participate on both shifts for the day.

CHANGES FROM 2009

Product
Most of the products have increased in quantity (average of 20%). Trail-mix is "out of the mix" this year. While, Chocolatey Triple Delight is only be found in the multi-packs, the Chocolatey Crunch returns to the individual packaged product.

Prices
With the exception of microwave popcorn – which went from 15 packs per container to 18 – the prices on everything else is the same

Packaging
There will NO TINS this year for any of the products. All products will be packed in re-sealable plastic bags with the exception of the microwave popcorn which remains in boxes. Multiple product items will be in boxes with the re-sealable bags inside.

Prizes
The majority of "prizes" will be gift cards only. Levels 2-3 will contain "prize" prizes along with the gift card option, but from Level 4 ($450 or more in sales) upward – prizes will be exclusively Wal-Mart or Amazon Gift cards.

Promotion/Incentives
Trails-End has dropped the "Fill it Up" promotion and replaced it with the "$600 Club". I will explain that and other incentives in more detail at the meeting and in a later email.

Promotes Healthy Choices
Trails-End has done a great deal of research to make their gourmet popcorn not only taste great but healthier. Microwave products are made using canola oil and contain 0 trans fats. The cheese products use canola oil and real cheese.

I hope to be able to provide a more detailed update and answer any questions at the meeting next week. I will also be posting information and key dates on the troop website. In the meantime, you can find more information at www.Trails-End.com.
