First, thank you to the Memorial crew for making the first flag day of 5 a success. The first day of the year can take a little longer to find after the winter weather but it should be smooth after this.
Our next Flag Day is coming up quick on June 10th and we are still in need of some sign ups. There are many in our troop that have never had the privilege of putting up flags. Please sign up and we will pair you with an experience scout and adult. This system works best if a scout and adult sign up together.

Camp Cards are here! Lots of great deals this year. Cards are $5, Scout gets $2.50 for each card sold in his account. This is a fun and easy fundraiser, easy to sell and great return. Don’t forget to register the number on the card for even more savings. I liked the $10 off at Safeway last year and it is still there when you register the card.
Cards will be available tonight at the meeting in sets of 10, if you miss the pickup just contact me. No obligation, if you don’t sell them just return them in the same condition we gave them to you. All money must be returned then we will deposit your share in your account.

We need to get our numbers up on our flag program! They have fallen in the past years and if we are going to give our time we might as well have a few more flags to place.
On April 8th at 8am the Scouts will be walking certain neighborhoods and placing flyers on doors. We need all available Scouts (and Parents)to participate so they can be in pairs and we can be done in under 2 hours. Mr. Petree will pick Scouts up a designated location. We are starting early because everyone is so busy this time of year so please think about giving some of your time.
There will also be a cash prize raffle for those that participate!

There has been a change to our Flag Day post from June 17th to June 10th due to the change in our Lone Eagle camp out change to June 17th weekend. We have many Scouts out of town for Flag day. Please consider signing up if you are in town since this is always a hard holiday to fill.

I wanted to post again about sign ups for this Saturdays Flag posting. We are in desperate need for scouts and parents to help post flags. We are currently short 3 drivers, 1 navigator and 2 scouts. Even if you can do half a shift with another group that will help, yes, we are that desperate. There are many scouts that have not had a chance to post flags this season and this would be a great opportunity to do a good turn and be financially responsible for yourself. Thank you

We are at the end of flag season! Thank you for all those that have made this fundraiser a success. We still have some slots open for Veteran’s Day. Still needed: one scout, one driver and two navigators. If your scout is sign up please consider joining them, it evens out the positions.
Remember, we are posting flags on 11/12, Saturday after Veteran’s Day and will retrieve the flags at 4pm instead of 6pm. See you at the barn at 6am in your Class A’s and some warm gear.

We are coming to the end of flag season. I’m so grateful for the participation we have had this year. This flag program is our biggest fund raiser. We have room for a Scout/Parent sign up for this weekend. We are in need of one flag driver and two navigators. This program works best if a Scout and a Parent sign up together, then we are not short on drivers or navigators, but of course we want all boys to have a chance to do flags. Popcorn season starts in September. We do things a little different in our troop with our sales. Typically, we do not sell as a troop but as individuals, we also have not sold at store fronts in the past. This is due to the fact that we make a decent amount of money through our flag program, which is why we push for all Scouts to take a turn with the flags. I have created a Sign Up Genius to get an idea of the Scouts interested in selling popcorn this year and supporting them through the process.
