Tuesday 10/6 we will be working with the church to help remove some out of use items, and this will count toward service project/hours. Wear Class A Uniform. Adult leadership will be available to sign off for rank advancement after we complete the project.

Tuesday night we will meet to hike Pulpit Rock at 6:30pm at 6411 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. With the recent full moon it should be well lit, but have your scout bring a headlamp, water, and have them wear layers in case it gets cooler after dark. Adults are encouraged to join for a fun hike with your scout!

I wanted to get an update out to everyone that with school back in session, and the days getting darker earlier, we are moving the meetings up 30 minutes so they will be 6:30p-8:00p.

Also, the calendar on the troop website has been updated to reflect currently scheduled meetings and camp outs. Tomorrow the patrol leaders, SPL, and adult leadership will have a meeting (along side our campout planning meeting) to plan for our Tuesday meetings in Q4, and we will work to get those loaded to the calendar as well. We will try to stick to those scheduled meetings and camp outs, but if something needs to change we will send an update post and update the calendar as well.

We have the opportunity to attend the airshow this Saturday 9/19 and Sunday 9/20 to help with the event and also recruit new scouts. Timeframe is roughly 8:30am to 4:00pm and your scout could attend one day, or both days if they want the opportunity to!

This is a great volunteer event and gets them free access to the air show!!

Troop, come join Nathan Turner tomorrow on September 12 as he begins his Eagle Project. He will be building a Veteran’s Memorial at the Bruce McCandless Veteran’s home in Florence. Initial work will include: lots of landscaping, removing several small trees, laying some sprinkler lines, and building bench frames. This is a big project and will require lots of volunteers. Work will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You can sign up for the whole day, a four-hour block or whatever time you have available. A Chic-fil-A lunch will be provided from 11:30-12:30. He will also have Gatorade and water available. Please bring gloves, eye protection, and a water bottle if you have them.
